Anyway, have you noticed how the christian god appealed exactly to the attitude of society at that time? The barbaricness, the views on race and sex, everything. Now that society has progressed and become more knowledgable, we realize that these things aren't right. This only reflects how the god at that time was a product of imagination and previously held beliefs.

Let me tell you something I see nothing of God, I have been a godless blasphemer for years now and I havent been smited or felt the wrath of god. In fact ive felt happier, more accomplished, Its been rather invigorating. But the point is the fear of god is only a convinience not the truth, the story of the king who was fell down dead at a banquet because he said he was better than god might have been feared then because people werent intrested in testing that theory. I and many others have no such fear and I have proclaimed myself better than any god every second of my life and as far as I know I havent fallen down dead. A matter of fact is that God has been used as a symbol of fear so people would be more inclined to uphold the godly tradition. And when appropriate he is used as a symbol of love and happiness. When if you read the bible and read many other religious or mythological text you will realize that the bible has stolen many stories, example Sampson the strong man who must never cut his hair. Stolen from the story of Hercules, or the prodigal son parable stolen from numerous teachings of simmilar stories. The entire bible is a massive rip off because the original stories appealed to the minds of men at that time and then people believed them, the bible adapted these stories and made them more "holy" so people would believe them.
Even now you see it, the bible is a living book, and open to change when convinent. in the 1600's nuns wearing the skirts they are now would be called sinful and chances are they would be wearing a nice scarlet "A" on their neck. But now the nuns wear them and they are called "Holy". That is because if the book had remained the same all the christian cults around the world would be impossible to follow or to believe because of the advances in the machinations of the world.
So if god exists through all that then why hasnt he made me fall down dead, or anton LaVey? Any person should be dead right now. Or if your talking about going to hell as a result of all my sins then im afraid hell is quite the rip off too. Read up on all the old myths of underworlds and you will find that satan, lucifer and all demons and tortures were stolen from many sources and placed in the bible, so that Romans 1:20 would sound a little more scary.
And like neferoth said just because it is written in some book doesnt mean we have to believe it. Thats like me walking up to you with some fancy book saying "im god, im the truth Worship me or go to hell" beyond that point I think God has many excuses, the many lines in the bible say crap like "the proof of god is everywhere" I call that schizophrenia and paranoia, even perhaps depression, humans can easily lie to themselves, so your brain will see strange happenings and you will intrepret them as god. Of course you would, the people who wrote the bible didnt have Science or Math, probablitly and even a basic knowledge of Human diseases of the mind.

If the whole thing is just made up by men, then why do you follow it so closly? seriously. Your god IS the bible, your religions IS the bible and every word in it. Every christian always advocates the bible in an arguement, like you quoting it, then when I tell the the truths that disprove or contradict the bible they say that "Man wrote it, it can be changed" so which is it? It is quite easy to believe such things I guess, As for selfish happiness, it has brought everyone happiness. Hitler was brought infinite happiness by his acts. Now your speaking of things you dont know. Hitler was my great great uncle, ive read many things he wrote and I know alot more about Hitler than you ever could simply because I was born into a family where my great great grandpa married his aunt, thus making me and him realitives. Also there is Anton LaVey, his selfish desire brought him happiness to the day he died. Then there are numerous Roman emperors, Nichzsche and the list is endless.

People do Kill and Steal for selfish desires, but they also worship and care so they can have some self gratifacation, if the entire world saw no pleasure, or ticket to heaven in "selfless acts" then the entire world would be killing and stealing. The reason im kind and loving to people is so I can benifit from their company, same as you, I just pick which acts lead to better benifits and less cost. I dont murder because I could go to jail, simple as that. DO you seriously think I care about any other human being that I want to die?
Thats what god never introduces, the balance factor. action reaction shit like that, no there are no consequences for doing good. What you call evil is your "god's" way of making you a disposable person, you wont have the benifits of what you call "evil" so you will die without a sound and go quickly.
Think about the Witch trials, the fake witches died while the true witches (by that I mean girls who were married to the burners, or men who used their manipulation, non magical of course) were actually behind the court owners and the court would never burn these beings of "evil". You are like the witch at the stake, and at judgement time as you call it you will find you have nothing but God and be falsly accused by society and you will die like us all. Now the cycle of lies comes full circle, when you die and then your gone because your bible lied to you because the people who wrote it changed it and you intrepreted it wrong, as you have so admitted to, or your bible is right and you go to hell because of all the sins you commit.
Sadly if there were a heaven none of us would go there. So I for one elect to live for the moment myself, I will eat until im fat, work off the fat so im sexually apealing, have sex, steal for my better will, and harm those who harm me in such ways that I will avoid trouble and live on earth in happiness. So when I die I will not be surprised to find that I did not go to a heaven that was stolen by the bible from many other religions, nor will I go to those religions because they to were made up by people who needed gods. (there gods happen to be a little less depressive or moronically contradictory like yours).
finally if you wanted me to prove mine then I would be glad to, read up on Astronomy, that is how the universe was created. Biology, that is life, physics, psycology, and various other sciences. Since you obviosly have no knowledge of the advancements in such sciences as I have studied over the past 4 years of my life, then dont bother trying to argue science because I know that you will just advocate God in it someway and complicate things because proving god doesnt exist is impossible, but offering proof that he most likely doesnt exist well you can find that on your own. Just spend 4 years studying the advanced sciences that I have and then come to your own realization, and once you are standing on the same footing as me you can decide to ignore the foolproof facts that God isnt what he seems and still argue god with me, or perhaps you will drop your faith. I would greatly honor you if you could do that, instead of sticking with the whole "Need faith" theory that all undereducated christians easily know.
So now I challenge you and your faith to do that and still stand strong, if not then why wont your pray for me tonight, pray to your god that I find true "holyness" so that he may slay me and I will drop down dead. I truly want lightning to drop upon my head and show me your god exists. I think I deserve a little damnation and eternity of torture for so wronging and denying my creator, and the person who loves me so, So while you and all other christians stumble for faith I think Ill sit back and sin a little bit until God comes out of nowhere and makes me fall down dead and then I suffer in hell for all eternity. ^^

And I noticed that when they put the story of Jesus the way they did you would realize that Jesus never actually did the "magic" stuff that he did, and that the bible meant those stories to be metaphorical in nature not literal like people think. How intresting.

That's why I chose it. The fact is that the Bible was written VERY long ago, with historical documentation of the authors, who were devoutly Christian and inspired by God to write the Bible. Sure, you could say that these people were only having illusions, but that's because you lack the experience of knowing God to understand how powerful He is.
You have yet to give me any proof that selfish desires helped people. Your great great uncle Hitler experienced some maniacal ecstasy for a while, sure... and then he committed suicide, am I wrong? Also, it just so happens that about six million Jews, was it, lay smoldering (quite literally) in his wake? Your worldview supports such a thing, which is why I could never live like you. You believe that a person should sacrifice the rest of humanity for his own well-being. It defies the natural chain through which all humans coexist. Your worldview is sick and twisted.
God create biology, astrology and all of the incredible science that makes our world work. Recently, in school, I've been studying the sex systems in male/female bodies. The intricacy and care the female reproductive system takes to develop a healthy ovum and transport it into the uterus, flawlessly... Please, take care when you claim that the world was created by something as random as a Big Bang... Because truly, life is precious, and we must give credit to the one who created it. Life... is a gift. Don't waste it by taking the whole world for granted.

2007-04-17 [Chimalus]: Jesus was never referred to as being magical in the Bible, nor do Christians today associate that word, "magical", with Jesus Christ. As you said, those sources that call him "magical" are wrong. In fact, in specific instances, Jesus condemns the use of magic, or any spiritual powers that are in contradiction with the Holy Spirit. Also, to correct you, Jesus did NOT admit to just being a teacher. He proclaimed himself the Son of God. He was completely legitimate, as he proved by dying and raising himself from the dead.

When they are so miraculously missing the fact that they say that their bible is wrong, then its right, then it was written by humans inspired by god. Its also funny that you call yourself a christian but you know nothing of God, you dont know god because as you said he doesnt prove himself. All your evidence to your argument are based on deities that were born thousands of years ago because a group of people decided they needed some form of deity in their lives. SO which am I? Why ask you though, you arent a God lover, you are just a christian. Why 1000 years ago if you tried to call yourself a christian all the priests would call you evil. The bible has lubed itself up and fist fucked its way into the machinations of the world and has changed so much that now we have nuns wearing shorter skirts. As a matter of fact, you probably sin so much compared to the old bible that you would go to hell in a heartbeat. The truth is there are no christians anymore. Your entire religion is just a massive shell of its former self. Were once you burned witches, then you tried to convert them, then you are friends with some wiccans. The worldly machinations have evolved to a point where the bible cannot exist without it changing to a document where people can live with it, in a society that exists on what you call evil. And it also advocates satan as the root of all evils, when you yourself have become partially the evil that existed in the world once past. And still satan strives as the problem. WHy if Hitler wasnt "satan possessed" the church wouldnt have gained so many members in the War. And no Hitler wasnt Satan possessed. He was driven by poverty in his country, and if you read Mein Kampf then you would know that Hitler didnt actually hate jews as much as you think, he wasnt as racist as he raved about. Think about it, the reason those jews lie dead is because their corpses were his countrys rallying call. He knew that if he gave his people a scapegoat then he could easily let them go along with anything else. He wasnt misguided, no he was a great leader and he knew how to work a human mind so he could rule the world. We all want to rule the world, its such an appealing offer to anyone I dont care who, Hitler just had the drive and motivation to actually try to make his goal come true. The reason he failed is: Do you realize how hard it is to take a country in absolute poverty and then rule the world with it? Seriously, he wasnt competent enough despite all his brilliance. But because that truth is a little to easy on such a mass murderer you need a scapegoat, and that is satan. Because everyone hates the devil you used him so people wouldnt wonder about Hitler and know the truth of his real desires.
Also once again you seem to forget that humans CANT coexist. Period. There will always be War, from peace is war born. ANd vice a versa. God will tell you that if you all listen to him then there will be no war. Well Muslims listened to him, and that started several wars. SO if every human was a christian then there would be no war? Of course there would be, probably more of it because we all arent the same.
God you strive for a world ruled by god so we all can conform and be like the other. If you truly prized life then you wouldnt want it to be like another, you would want your own. And then instead of living every moment for god you would live for yourself. Like you are doing now, but you call yourself god and re direct your praise to an outside source that you need just to live. Its so pathetic, you look around and see all that you have and then you see god, but when I do it I see myself. Because of my actions I have all that I have right now, andthat is truly worth prizing. Rather than devoting all my time to something that obviously isnt like it says it is in some book written by uneducated, scienceless bedouins. I looked for ways to prove god wrong and as it turned out I found god. And he isnt anything like you say he is, then by looking further I found him to be a mirage by my own psyche. God is what you make him, thats why we dont just have christians, we have catholic, muslim, jew, protestant, orthodox, morman and so many others. So if we all followed god then we would be one or the other and that means we would be fighting much like all the sects have for years.
God I grow so bored of arguing with fake christians. None of you know anything about God, next time I argue I want someone who has talked to the real God, if he exists.
So just tell me one thing, what ,makes you think your worthy of Gods love? Arent you riddled with sin? do you confess every single sin you make? ANd do you seriously think you will go to heaven?

He was on the phone with [Lyris] and rolling over AIM's advertisement (at the top of the window) and RAP started to play... his first reaction was "NO NIGGER NO!!!!"
It was sooo funny!
